Volcano Living

I found this home listing on the big island of Hawaii. Living in Hawaii is a dream for most, but the name of this estate really gives me pause. "Volcano Ranch Estate" is listed for $1,750,000.

Here is the description:

"A truly remarkable property located in the open spaces of the Volcano Farm Lots. Here you will find ranching lands with open pastures, views of the mountains, access to riding trails and cool starry nights. Contained within this property are a lighted riding arena, small barn and dog kennels. The home's interior has Koa cabinetry, paneling and open areas for living a casual life. You'll have to see this one."

I actually have an aunt who moved off of the Hawaii because her home was in the path of the last volcano eruption. So a volcano threat is very real. This article talks about the possible eruption in more depth. I have to wonder if the person naming the land could have thought of a better name...

For me personally, $1.75 M is not a something I would throw into a lava field. With 20 acres, you could probably even have your own pineapple farm.
